Hibernia combines 2 operations.

Hibernia National Bank, Louisiana's largest bank, has combined its trust and private banking operations in Baton Rouge and promoted John J. D'Angelo to run the division.

Mr. D'Angelo, who was previously manager of private banking in Baton Rouge, has also been named manager of trust operations in Lafayette and Alexandria.

The bank is the flagship unit of $4.7 billion-asset Hibernia Corp., New Orleans.

Before joining Hibernia in 1987, Mr. D'Angelo was a senior accountant with the New Orleans office of KPMG Peat Marwick.

His promotion comes as Hibernia expands its investment and lending services, said Kenneth A. Rains, executive vice president and trust group manager.
