SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Bell Microproducts Inc. announced the completion of a $30 million credit arranged by its current bank, Sumitomo Bank of California, with Union Bank as a participant.
The new agreement replaces and supplements the company's existing $15 million line of credit with Sumitomo, which is agent bank for the new facility and has provided a separate $2 million lease line to Bell Microproducts.
The top five banks and thrifts have combined total assets of nearly $13 trillion.
After several quarters of slumping investment banking and trading fees, the Charlotte, North Carolina-based company reported a big uptick from that division, which helped compensate for a large decline in net interest income.
