Donald P. Southwick has been named chief executive officer of Amerifirst Bank, the Xenia, Ohio, affiliate of Mid Am Inc., Bowling Green, Ohio., effective June 30.
He had been senior vice president of CB Financial Corp., a $650 million bank holding company headquartered in Jackson, Mich.
Mr. Southwick will succeed James E. Laughlin, who is retiring from Amerifirst on June 30.
Mr. Laughlin has been in the business for over 37 years, and with Home Federal Savings and Loan, Amerifirst's predecessor, since 1977. He has been chairman of the Ohio Savings and Loan League and a member of its executive committee for 14 years.
Mr. Laughlin will remain chairman of Amerifirst and a Mid Am director.
