SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- International Verifact, the Toronto-based manufacturer of electronic funds transfer and point of sale machines, has named L. Barry Thomson president and chief operating officer.
Mr. Thomson came from Aluma Systems Corp., a distributor and manufacturer of construction products, where he was president and chief executive. He is a professional engineer and chartered accountant.
In his new position, Mr. Thomson will guide the company's expansion of Verifact's North American operations.
International Verifact is one of the largest manufacturers of point of sale terminals in North America. Its U.S. headquarters are in Scottsdale, Ariz.
