Nicholas L. Hayes, formerly a senior vice president and manager with Bank of California, has been hired by Robert Morris Associates to fill the newly created post of director-global relationships.
RMA is the association of bank loan and credit officers.
Former association president Edgar M. Morsman Jr., executive vice president, Norwest Bank Minnesota, has been named chairman of the new unit.
Mr. Hayes brings to the association more than 25 years of banking experience. At Bank of California, he was responsible for the bank's major corporate customers in the Pacific Northwest and for its relationships with financial institutions in the western states.
He was with Citibank and Citicorp from 1969 until 1986, where he held assignments in New York, Paris, Geneva, Bangkok, Cairo, and Seattle.
