Laughlin Unit Will Supply Newsletters On 401(k) Plans for New Orleans Bank

A division of Laughlin Group, a marketer of mutual funds and annuities to banks, has landed the job of writing quarterly newsletters for First National Bank of Commerce customers.

Laughlin Educational Services, which supplies investment educational services, such as seminars, to banks and their customers, will write newsletters to the bank's 401(k) clients. The newsletters will encourage immediate investing in 401(k) plans and address investment techniques such as dollar cost averaging.

First National, New Orleans, is the lead subsidiary of First Commerce Corp., a $7.1 billion-asset bank based in Beaverton, Ore. Laughlin is based in Beaverton and boasts 150 banks nationwide.
