Credit Suisse's Roberts On Executive Board

Christopher W. Roberts, currently head of Credit Suisse's North America region, has been appointed a member of the banking company's executive board, effective Jan. 1.

Mr. Roberts will assume responsibility for commercial banking in North and Latin America.

The member of the executive board presently responsible for this area of business, Beat Fenner, will change over the same date to the Switzerland business section, assuming management responsibility for eastern and central Switzerland.

At the end of this year Manfred Adami will resign from the executive board for health reasons. When he returns to better health he will take up new responsibilities with Credit Suisse Group.

Mr. Roberts has been in charge of charge of Credit Suisse's US operations since 1989. In July of this year, he became head of the newly created North America region, which includes the Credit Suisse Organization in Canada.
