Robert Morris Associates' Reed To Retire in Fourth Quarter

Clarence R. Reed, executive vice president of Robert Morris Associates, Philadelphia, the professional association of loan officers and credit risk managers, said he will retire in the fourth quarter after almost 37 years with the group.

Under Mr. Reed's leadership, a small banking association founded in 1914 grew to 16,000 members in 50 states, Puerto Rico, Canada, and several offshore cities. About 3,000 financial institutions are represented.

Mr. Reed said the timing of his departure means no more than that the group is in good shape "and I can therefore bow out on both a personal and corporate high note."
