Short Takes: Lipper Promotes Head Of Research Center

Evelyn Carter has been named a senior vice president of Lipper Analytical Services, Summit, N.J.

Ms. Carter oversees the nerve center of the mutual fund tracking firm's operations: its research and data base center in Denver.

She joined the firm in 1984 and has helped to build the Denver office from four to 65 full-time employees, said the firm's president, A. Michael Lipper, in a prepared statement.

As a result, he said, Lipper has been able to expand the scope and improve the quality of its services and publications.
