Tech Bytes: Security First Offers Annuity Sales Aids

LOS ANGELES - Security First, an investment marketing organization, has introduced three systems designed to improve the way banks sell annuities.

The systems are a 24-hour interactive voice response system, known as InTouch, a system that allows banks to give customers access to account information via personal computers, and a business management system that aims to reduce the time it takes to issue policies.

Security First has been named by the American Bankers Association as the provider of annuity products to ABA member institutions.

With the new products "bank service centers will no longer be forced to spend days and weeks following endless paper trails, and hours duplicating effort," said Michael R. McCoy, senior vice president with First Security.
