Bisys Fund Unit Hires T. Rowe Price Exec

Bisys Fund Services in Little Falls, N.J., has hired an executive from T. Rowe Price Associates Inc. to run its shareholder services operations.

Mary A. Madick started work recently as a vice president in the company's office in Columbus, Ohio. She reports to Michael Brascetta, senior vice president for transfer agency.

Bisys Fund Services, a unit of Bisys Group Inc., administers more than $76 billion in bank-managed mutual funds.

Shareholder servicing - handling customer inquiries and account information - is part of Bisys' offerings. Many mutual fund companies pair shareholder servicing with transfer agency, which involves tracking issuances and redemptions of fund shares.

Ms. Madick brings 15 years' mutual fund experience to her new position. Most recently, she was a vice president in the transfer agency department at T. Rowe Price, a leading mutual fund company based in Baltimore.

Ms. Madick had also worked for DST Systems Inc., Van Kampen Merritt Inc., and John Nuveen & Co.
