Compass Bank, a unit of Compass Banks of Texas, named all seven  directors of the former Commerce National Bank in College Station, Tex., to   its own Bryan/College Station board.   
  
Compass bought Commerce's holding company, Greater Brazos Valley  Bancorp., in April. 
The new directors are:
  
Henry L. Presnal, the former chairman of Commerce National. Mr.  Presnal, a retired veterinarian, works with Compass Bank's Small Business   Administration division to create business relationships with   veterinarians.     
James K. Presnal, a state representative from 1949 to 1953. He operates  a law practice and is the legislative counsel for State Farm Insurance in   College Station.   
Bill C. Presnal, the senior adviser for legislative affairs with Texas  A&M University. Mr. Lewis was a Texas state representative from 1969 to   1984.   
  
James R. Bradley, former director and chief executive officer of the  Texas Engineering Extension Service at Texas A&M. 
Neeley C. Lewis, a partner in the law firm of Dillon Lewis & Young. Mr.  Lewis was a state representative from 1984 to 1985. 
Patricia A. Cornelison, the owner of Pragmatic Tactics, a business  development advisory firm. Earlier she was the president and chief   executive officer of Columbia Medical Center in College Station.   
Vernon Ken Shaw, a 39-year veteran of GTE who retired in 1995 as  manager of its south-central division. 
  
Alfred J. Lehtonen Sr. and B. Don Russel were also elected to the board.  Mr. Lehtonen is general partner at Lehtonen Investments Ltd., a local   property development and management firm.   
Mr. Russell is associate vice chancellor for engineering at Texas A&M  University, responsible for managing engineering research.
