In Brief: Fidelity to Sell $25M of Trust-Preferreds

Fidelity Bankshares has filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission to sell $25 million of cumulative trust-preferred securities.

Fidelity Bankshares was the first stock holding company to organize as a "mid-tier" holding company of a mutual holding company. With the filing, it becomes the first mid-tier holding company to register with the Securities and Exchange Commission to issue trust-preferred securities.
