In Brief: Freddie's Risk Chief To Step Down This Year

Michael Stamper, executive vice president of risk management and chief credit officer at Freddie Mac, plans to retire this year.

Mr. Stamper, 51, has worked at the agency since 1982. Freddie Mac will look both for a successor both internally and outside the organization.

Mr. Stamper will stay on at Freddie until a successor is named. After retiring, he will continue to work part-time as an adviser.
