NationsBanc Montgomery Securities said last week that it has hired Carter McClelland as a senior managing director and co-head of its investment banking group. He will start with the firm Sept. 8.
Mr. McClelland, a Wall Street veteran who spent 21 years at Morgan Stanley & Co. before joining Deutsche Bank in 1995, will be based in Montgomery's New York office.
He will report to Thomas Weisel, Montgomery's chief executive, and will sit on NationsBanc Montgomery's eight-member executive committee.
From September 1995 until February 1998, Mr. McClelland was president and chief executive officer of Deutsche Bank North America and a member of the Deutsche Bank North America board of directors.
He was also president and chief executive of Deutsche Morgan Grenfell's North American operations and global co-head of Deutsche Morgan Grenfell's investment banking division.
