Huntington Veterans Promoted at Andersen

Former Huntington Bancshares technology officers Lawrence R. "Rick" Sellers and Cary M. Serif have been elected partners of Arthur Andersen LLP.

Mr. Sellers, 48, joined the business consulting practice of Andersen's Chicago office last April, managing retail financial markets technology. He was previously president of Huntington Bank Service Co. in Columbus, Ohio, where he worked from 1972 to 1997.

Mr. Serif, 42, who had moved from Huntington to Norwest Corp.'s Norwest Services unit in Minneapolis, joined Andersen's financial markets technology practice in June. At Norwest he was senior vice president of emerging business.

Both consultants still live in the Columbus area.

Also named an Andersen partner was James W. McAveeney, 36, a 10-year veteran of the firm, who was most recently senior manager in financial markets.
