Amsouth Bank Names Executive

Amsouth Bank, Birmingham, Ala., has hired Barnett Bank's Susan H. Mitchell, Robin Werner, Dennis Gaines, and Kimberly Kutlenios, as vice presidents in its Florida operations.

NationsBank Corp. bought Barnett in January.

Ms. Mitchell and Ms. Kutlenios work for Amsouth's capital management asset services unit.

Ms. Mitchell is in charge of corporate investment accounts, employee benefit trust accounts, and business development in Clearwater. She was a vice president and trust manager at Barnett in Tampa, and earlier held similar titles at First Union Bank in Tampa and Jacksonville as well as at First Union's headquarters, in Charlotte, N.C.

Ms. Kutlenios is a trust officer in Orlando. She was a Barnett vice president there and earlier was an assistant vice president at Wachovia Bank in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Ms. Werner will be responsible for sales at Amsouth's branches in Pasco County and northern Pinnellas County. She was a senior vice president at Barnett in New Port Richey.

Mr. Gaines is in charge of institutional trust sales for central Florida. He is based in Orlando, where he was a Barnett vice president. Before joining Barnett he worked in Phoenix as a vice president of trust sales at First Interstate Bank and an assistant vice president of Valley National Bank.
