LaSalle Business Names Executive

LaSalle Business Credit Inc., Chicago, a unit of LaSalle National Bank, has promoted Gregory A. Jones and Joseph R. Costanza to senior vice president.

Mr. Jones, who was a first vice president, manages LaSalle's Portland, Ore., regional office, which is based in Lake Oswego, Ore.

He came to LaSalle as a vice president in 1993, when it bought Stanchart Business Credit, a finance subsidiary of Standard Chartered Bank; Mr. Jones had joined Chicago-based Stanchart in 1988 as a vice president.

Mr. Costanza, who was a vice president, remains district manager for the New York office, responsible for marketing and credit operations.

He came to LaSalle in 1996 from Mellon Bank in Philadelphia, where he was a credit group leader. Earlier he had been a credit deputy at Chase Manhattan Bank.

Finally, LaSalle Business Credit promoted vice presidents Scott R. Busch, John W. Mundstock, and William A. Stapel to first vice president.

Mr. Busch is responsible for a customer portfolio as well as underwriting and documenting new loans. He joined the unit in 1991 after a job as an assistant vice president at Glenfed Capital in Chicago.

Mr. Mundstock, in the Portland office, is responsible for developing new commercial loan relationships. He joined in 1991 as a vice president and loan officer.

Mr. Stapel is responsible for managing a portfolio of asset-based loans. He joined Stanchart in 1988 as an auditor.

LaSalle National Bank is a subsidiary of Netherlands-based ABN Amro Bank.
