In Brief: State Bank of India Names N.Y. Branch Chief

State Bank of India has named Srinivasan Sundar president and chief executive of its New York branch.

Mr. Sundar succeeds Deba P. Roy, who has been named managing director for international banking at the bank's central office in Bombay.

State Bank of India, India's largest bank, has about $44 billion of assets, including around $800 million in the United States.
