Montgomery Veteran Makes Journey Back to B of A Securities

Telecommunications analyst Christopher J. Crespi has completed a round trip to Bank of America Securities in San Francisco.

He has joined the company, formerly Montgomery Securities, as a managing director and senior research analyst covering the telecommunications equipment sector. The hire reflects expanding coverage of wire line communications, the company said.

Mr. Crespi had worked for Montgomery from 1994 until last year, and was a principal in the technology equity research group when he left - shortly before the company was bought by the old BankAmerica Corp., now part of Bank of America Corp.

He left to join BT Alex. Brown, the Bankers Trust Corp. subsidiary, where he followed the telecommunications equipment sector as a senior research analyst in the equity research department. Deutsche Bank AG bought Bankers Trust Corp. in June, and Mr. Crespi briefly worked for the renamed Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown.

Before joining Montgomery he was a product manager at Hewlett-Packard Co. Earlier he was a lab manager at Avantek Inc.
