Wachovia Bank Names Executive

Wachovia Bank and Wachovia Bank Capital Markets Inc., subsidiaries of Wachovia Corp. in Winston-Salem, N.C., have promoted four vice presidents to senior vice president.

David G. Black and Trentton K. Mack were promoted at the bank.

Mr. Black is responsible for corporate lending in North Carolina's High Point, Archdale, and Jamestown markets. He is based in High Point.

Mr. Mack, in Atlanta, is a human resources relationship manager for the consumer banking group.

Jeffrey K. Smith and Stanley K. McAffee 3d are the capital markets unit's new senior vice presidents.

Mr. Smith, based in Winston-Salem, is a regional conduit specialist in commercial real estate. He joined Wachovia in 1985 and later managed branch operations and was a personal banker.

Mr. McAffee, in Atlanta, is a foreign exchange specialist in the corporate finance group. He joined the company in 1987 and later became a corporate banking relationship manager in Gastonia, N.C., and then a foreign exchange manager. He was transferred to Atlanta in 1992.
