Executive Changes: B of A Names Two Regional Middle-MarketBanking Execs

BankAmerica Corp. of Charlotte, N.C., has named Michael W. Marovich to head its middle-market business banking operations in Northern California and Gene Godbold to do the same job in its Middle Atlantic region.

Mr. Marovich will be based in San Francisco as the Northern California commercial banking executive. The 14 branches he will run-from the Oregon border to the Chino, Calif., area-serve companies with $10 million to $500 million of annual revenue.

Mr. Marovich has been based in Modesto, Calif., as the commercial banking executive for the 11-county north-central California area, a job he had held since 1993. He joined the old Bank of America in 1962.

He will still report to Barbara Desoer, president of northern California banking. So will Kent Malone, who remains in charge of the commercial banking branch for the Modesto area.

Mr. Godbold, the commercial banking executive for the Mid-Atlantic banking group, will be based in Washington.

He had been market manager for NationsBank's Mid-Atlantic specialty commercial banking group in suburban Virginia.

Mr. Godbold joined a NationsBank predecessor 22 years ago.
