Philippine National Bank Corp. is expanding its treasury management services using software from Misys PLC.

The London banking technology vendor said last week that Philippine National, of Manila, would implement the newest version of its Opics Plus treasury software as well as its Eagleye and Opics Risk Plus risk management and portfolio management applications.

Philippine National, a Misys customer since 2003, said the new software would help it move into derivatives and structured products while giving the commercial bank a better view of its total risk. Misys has more than 360 customers in the Asia-Pacific region. Philippine National is the first bank in the country to use the new Opics Plus product.
