Intuit Inc. of Mountain View, Calif. announced Tuesday that it had made significant changes to the interface of its online banking product.

The new version centralizes consumer account information such as checking, savings and bill payments, along with charts and graphs that detail customer spending. It will also give consumers access to merchant-funded rewards programs, powered by Cardlytics Inc. of Norcross, Ga.

Customers will be able to access the new system both by mobile devices and online, Intuit said.

"The virtual customer experience is now the primary channel, and financial institutions must be prepared to deliver a connected banking experience that is personal, relevant and insightful to each customer's financial life," CeCe Morken, president of Intuit Financial Services and a vice president at Intuit, said in the release.

Intuit said nearly 3 million customers are currently using the redesigned online banking system through their banks and credit unions.
