Fundtech Launches Mobile RDC App

Fundtech announced Tuesday a mobile remote deposit capture app that banks can make their own.

The Jersey City, N.J. bank technology company said NetDeposit Mobile Express allows bankers to offer their customers the ability to deposit their checks using their smartphones' cameras.

NetDeposit Mobile Express can be added into a bank's smartphone app or be deployed as a standalone app.

Offering mobile RDC to bank customers has been a growing area for banks. In a report published earlier this month, Celent found that 80% of U.S. financial institutions are planning to or considering offering mobile RDC. Furthermore, the research firm said it expects the number of financial institutions offering mobile RDC to double over the next year to nearly 1,000 banks and credit unions.

Mitek Systems Inc (MITK), mFoundry Inc., among others, also provide banks with mobile RDC technology.
