SEI (SEIC) announced this week that Centier Bank, Merrillville, Ind., has launched the tech vendor's Global Wealth Platform.

The northern Indiana bank, which manages roughly $400 million in assets over 700 customer accounts, is the first in the U.S. to begin using the wealth management system. Centier began using GWP at the very end of last year.

SEI already has installed GWP at 16 banks, with about 22 clients sold on the system, says Al Chiaradonna, SEI's senior vice president in charge of global wealth services. About $17 billion in assets are managed on the platform today, he added.

Chiaradonna says the first bank globally to install the GWP platform in the "early part" of 2007 was in the U.K.

Centier has been an SEI client for 15 years, the tech vendor said.
