Incoming TCF Chief Solidifies New Management Team

TCF Financial in Wayzata, Minn., is making preparations for its next management team.

The $20.1 billion-asset company had already announced in August that Craig Dahl, its vice chairman and president, would succeed William Cooper as chief executive, effective Jan. 1. On Tuesday Dahl named the executives who would complete his management team.

TCF said in a press release that Thomas Jasper, a vice chairman, would become chief operating officer, while Michael Jones, the chief financial officer, had been promoted to executive vice president of consumer banking, for the corporation. Jasper recently led TCF's retail banking, commercial banking and retail lending organizations.

Brian Maass, TCF's treasurer and chief investment officer, was promoted to succeed Jones as CFO.

The company said that William Henak, who had been president and chief executive of TCF Equipment Finance, would become executive vice president of wholesale banking.

"We are focused on executing our strategy to deliver sustained growth and returns for our shareholders," Dahl said in the release. "We are fortunate to have a deep bench of leaders with significant industry experience and tenure with TCF who have consistently demonstrated the ability to deliver strong business results."
