Pinnacle Financial in Tenn. Names Burkhart to Board

Pinnacle Financial Partners in Nashville, Tenn., has added the president of a Knoxville, Tenn., accounting firm to its board.

The $6.3 billion-asset company elected Renda Burkhart to its board on Tuesday. Burkhart, founder and president of Burkhart & Co., was named to Pinnacle board's audit and trust committees. Burkhart becomes the fourth woman to join Pinnacle's board.

"Renda's more than 35 years of experience in business financial management and understanding of the Knoxville and Chattanooga markets makes her an extraordinarily valuable addition to our board," said Pinnacle's chairman, Robert McCabe, in a release.

The accounting firm KPMG serves as Pinnacle's independent auditor.

Pinnacle announced an expansion in the Knoxville market in April, when it agreed to acquire CapitalMark Bank & Trust in Chattanooga.
