HSBC Argentina is issuing Vasco Digipass two-way authentication devices to the bank's retail and corporate customers, Vasco Data Security International Inc., which has headquarters in Oakbrook Terrace, Ill., and Zurich, Switzerland, said Tuesday. Consumers enter PINs generated by the device to access an online banking Web site. HSBC Argentina has more than 1.2 million customers. To date, the bank has distributed about 200,000 Digipass devices. Vasco did not say when the deployment began or how many devices the bank ultimately will issue.
