Director of Operations, Interim President/CEO

Matt is the Director of Operations and Interim President/CEO for the National Cyber Forensics & Training Alliance (NCFTA). Prior to joining the NCFTA management team in March, 2015, Matt spent over 26 years as a special agent in the United States Secret Service. During his career, Matt led criminal investigations in Pittsburgh, New York City, and Washington, DC where he also held several high profile positions to include the Presidential Protection Detail, Investigative Fellow for the United States Senate, and was a founding member of the Department of Homeland Security.From 2004 until 2015, Matt served as the Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Secret Service Pittsburgh Field Office where he oversaw domestic and international field investigations involving a multitude of criminal violations including; counterfeit currency, money laundering, mortgage fraud, and cutting edge cyber related offenses. Matt is also a certified law enforcement instructor, having taught at the International Law Enforcement Academies in Bangkok, Thailand, Budapest, Hungary, and San Salvador, El Salvador.The National Cyber-Forensics & Training Alliance (NCFTA) is a 501.c.3 non-profit corporation which provides a neutral, collaborative environment for industry, government, and academia to share, analyze, mitigate, and neutralize emerging cyber threats. Through strategic global alliances and partnerships with subject matter experts (SME’s) in the public, private, and academic sectors, the NCFTA enables real time, cross industry information sharing that enhances defenses, influences investigative strategies, and seeks to identify and ultimately disrupt cyber criminal organizations.
