$1 Million Mark Is Sweet For CU Cherry Blossom Run

WASHINGTON – Organizers of the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Run said the annual 10-mile road race in the nation’s capital raise more than $1 million for Children’s Miracle Network.

The April 5th event hosted 12,000 runners. More than half were members of credit unions. These runners and others donated over $93,500 in the online giving program. More than 50 credit unions also supported the event by providing 600 volunteers that served on race day. More than 470 Capitol Hill runners also participated.

The race has raised more than $3.6 million for CMN over the past eight years.
