3 CU Organizations Named Great Places To Work

Three credit union organizations have been identified as good places to earn a paycheck. The Business Journal has named Affinity Plus FCU, St. Paul, Minn., as one of the "Great Places to Work in the Twin Cities."

Based on being a top scorer from employee attitude surveys, Affinity Plus was chosen as one of only 18 top organizations in the Twin Cities to be chosen this year. "The culture at Affinity Plus is energetic, passionate, and devoted to building relationships through active dialogue," the credit union said. When presented with the statement in the employee attitude survey "I enjoy coming to work each day" and "My working environment is conducive to achieving my professional goals," more than 90% of the employees agreed or strongly agreed with both statements.

Also named a top employer was Orlando, Fla.-based Insight Financial Credit Union, which was selected by Central Florida Family magazine as one of the top 100 Companies for Working Families for the third year. The credit union was chosen for family-friendly programs and benefits offered to its 140 employees.

And in Pewaukee, Wis., The Wisconsin Credit Union League has won the Beyond the Paycheck award, presented by The Business Journal. The WCUL won in the category of internal leadership, which recognized programs at the WCUL that include a brown bag, monthly lunch between league President Brett Thompson and the WCUL's 44 employees, and luncheons at which staff meets with the board of directors.
