Andy Kempf, president of 4Front Credit Union in Traverse City, Mich., has been promoted to president and CEO.

He succeeds CEO David Leusink, who retired at the end of 2019 after more than 30 years in the industry.
Kempf was appointed president of the $553 million-asset institution in 2015. Prior to that he was CEO of Members Credit Union and Preferred Credit Union. During his time working with Leusink the pair helped expand the credit union’s footprint with two new branch locations, oversaw asset growth of 35% and increased use of video tellers.
Leusink began his credit union career at Grand Rapids-based Kent County CU, leading lending efforts there before being promoted to president. He was later named CEO of Charlevoix Federal Credit Union, which rebranded in 1999 as Bay Winds FCU.
4Front Credit Union posted net income of $3.9 million during the first three quarters of 2019, the most recent data available, a 13% decline from one year prior.
