CLEVELAND — Technology provider Hyland on Thursday said five Canadian credit unions have selected the company's OnBase solution to eliminate paper, automate processes and increase member service.
According to Hyland, technology spending is rising in Canadian markets, as more financial institutions turn to enterprise content management (ECM) for process automation.
"Canadian credit unions, banks and lenders are investing in software and services, including ECM, to address slow, outdated and paper-intensive procedures," the company said in a press release.
The company's five new Canadian clients are: Kootenay Savings Credit Union, Credit Union Electronic Account Management Services Association, Synergy Credit Union, Cornerstone Credit Union Financial Group Ltd., and Affinity Credit Union.
"We are seeing an upward trend within the Canadian market, especially among credit unions, because they are placing a higher priority on evolving outdated processes and eliminating paper," said Michelle Harbinak Shapiro, industry marketing manager at Hyland, creator of OnBase. "More organizations are seeking solutions that will support competitive business over the long run. They are turning to ECM because of its flexibility to solve their immediate issues and expand for future growth."
