A+ FCU Provides $76,000 In Teacher Grants

AUSTIN, Texas – A+ FCU said its A+ Education Foundation awarded 82 teacher grants totaling $76,000 as part of its annual Educator Grant Program.

The grants cover the cost of programs, supplies and training to improve the classroom experience for students in central Texas.

This year’s winners included projects such as reading clubs, a bullying prevention program, communication devices for non-verbal students, improving the effectiveness of teaching through technology, a social skills enrichment program, taking science home, behavior support of students with severe and cognitive disabilities, and math mania.

The credit union’s non-profit foundation has awarded more than $320,000 in teacher grants since 2005.
