ACI Worldwide Completes Online Resources Takeover

NAPLES, Fla. – ACI Worldwide, which acquired S1 Corp. last year, announced this morning it has completed the acquisition of Online Resources Corp., the provider of payments services to of 1,000 credit unions, banks, billers, credit card issuers, and other credit and payment service providers, for $126.6 million in cash.

The deal is among a recent flurry among credit union service providers, with Fiserv acquiring Open Solutions Inc., FIS acquiring mobile banking pioneer mShift, and NCR acquiring video teller developer uGenius.

ACI Worldwide powers electronic payments and banking for more than 1,750 financial institutions, retailers and processors around the world. The Online Resources transaction adds electronic bill presentment and payment solutions as a strategic part of ACI’s Universal Payments portfolio. It also strengthens ACI’s online banking capabilities with complementary technology, and expands the company’s leadership in serving community banking and credit union customers.
