Affinity Offers Loan Check-Up Service

BASKING RIDGE, N.J. - In the wake of what some are calling a credit crisis, Affinity FCU is offering its new "Loan Health Check From Affinity"-think of it as a check-up for member's credit health.

This free service allows Affinity's members to speak to an unbiased Home Finance Consultant who will help the consumer determine the strength and health of their existing or prospective loans, no matter who the lender is.

The Home Finance Consultant will:

* Review and compare the loans to ensure the member is getting the best rates available

* Ensure that the member is managing their debt in the best way possible

* Help the member find new ways to save

* Answer any questions or concerns about a loan

Affinity is using the new program not only as a way to reach out to members who may be in need of assistance due to the credit crunch, but also as a way to tout the credit union as a responsible, reliable source of both loans and financial advice.

In promoting check-up, Affinity said, "credit unions remain vigilant in providing responsible lending. Credit unions have very low delinquencies and very low fees, and therefore they are in a strong position to continue lending."
