BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama Telco CU has launched two new savings program, including one aimed at encouraging more debit card use by its 50,000 members.

The Centsible Saving Program is an automatic savings program that pays members a match when they use the credit union's debit card. With each purchase, Alabama Telco automatically rounds up the purchase to a whole dollar amount, transferring the change into the member's Centsible Savings Account and providing a match under predetermined guidelines.
The $350 million credit union has also introduced a Health Savings Account that allows members to set aside tax-deductible savings targeted at medical expenses.
