JESUP, Ga. — Altamaha Federal Credit Union here now uses the Sharetec System as its core processor.
The $57 million CU said the recent conversion was a "great success."
Christy Hyde, vice president of Altamaha, said in a prepared statement, "The Sharetec Team lived with us through our conversion week. They did a great job holding our hands and helping us work through any problem that came up. We couldn't have asked for a more successful conversion."
Hyde said when Altamaha FCU selected Sharetec, management knew the CU needed a system that would help it grow into the future. "We are already making that happen with electronic signatures throughout the credit union, a more user-friendly home banking solution, and, very soon, mobile banking."
Honor Anicete, Sharetec's lead project manager for Altamaha FCU, said, "Altamaha's management directed the credit union's team with exceptional attitudes, keeping a positive outlook during a busy live week which minimized stress levels and kept their members happy. This made for a successful conversion, and a great start to our relationship with Altamaha FCU."
Altamaha Federal Credit Union was chartered in 1955. Today it is the 43rd-largest credit union in the state of Georgia. Membership includes those who live, work, attend school or worship in Wayne or Long Counties in Georgia.
Sharetec System is a provider of both in-house and service bureau core solutions. It has nearly 300 core credit union clients and has grown 67% since the year 2000.
