FORT WORTH, Texas – American Airlines FCU announced yesterday that American Eagle Capt. William Karr Jr. was chosen grand prize winner in the "$50K Your Way" Sweepstakes, sponsored by Digital Insight, which is AA CU's third-party provider for online banking services.
The Lake Dallas airline pilot was notified of his winnings last Friday, the 13th, in a phone call from AA FCU’s CEO Angie Owens.
Karr was chosen at random from all entrants in this national contest designed to help raise awareness of the benefits of paying your bills online.
During the sweepstakes, new Bill Pay users earned $10 simply by paying 10 bills online. There were also 10 daily instant prizes of $100 and an opportunity for all participating member-owners/customers from participating financial institutions to enter to win the $50,000 grand prize.
Karr joined the credit union shortly after he was hired in 1991 and has been paying his bills online through CUAcce$$ since 2000.
