America's Christian CU Partners with Olivet Nazarene University

America's Christian Credit Union in Glendora, Calif., has entered an educational partnership with the School of Graduate and Continuing Studies (SGCS) at Olivet Nazarene University.

Under the affiliation agreement, America's Christian CU staff, members and spouses will be offered a 20% tuition discount on SGCS programming.

SGCS offers more than 30 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs at its locations in Illinois, Indiana and Michigan, as well as online. The program has partnered with more than 200 organizations nationwide and has a presence in Hong Kong and partnerships in China, the Czech Republic, South Africa, Dubai UAE and Israel.

The first student from America's Christian CU to enroll in the program did so in September to pursue a bachelor of business administration degree.

"At America's Christian Credit Union we strive to reach, serve and teach our members and staff through Biblical principles," Mendell Thompson, president and chief executive at America's Christian CU, said in a news release. "Our goal is not to be just a financial institution for our members, but in reality to be a life transforming organization for those we serve. This partnership with Olivet allows us to achieve that mission."

The $500 million-asset America's Christian CU has more than 5,000 branches that service 86,000 members in all 50 states.

Based in Bourbonnais, Ill., Olivet Nazarene University is an accredited Christian, liberal arts university.

"As one of the nation's top Christian universities that provides education with a Christian purpose, we are honored to partner with such a great organization in [America's Christian CU]," said Dr. Ryan Spittal, Olivet's vice-president of strategic expansion. "Olivet is pleased to align our similar missions to help transform the lives of individuals across the country."
