FARMINGTON, Utah - (08/09/05) -- NCUA said it approved a federalcharter for Horizon Utah CU, making 15 state credit unions in Utahthat have fled to federal charters over the past 18 months. Thefederal charter will allow the $80 million credit union to servealmost 500,000 people in the Ogden metropolitan area, includingDavis, Morgan and Webber counties, the kind of multiple-countyfield of membership no longer available for Utah statecharters.
