ROGERSVILLE, Tenn. – A former loan processor at an Appalachian Community FCU branch here was convicted Monday of stealing $105,900 from the credit union.
Trena Bledsoe pleaded guilty to charges of embezzlement and making false statements on a bankruptcy petition about those funds and faces up to five years in prison when she is sentenced in February. The false statement to the bankruptcy court regards her failure to list the $105,900 in proceeds from her theft as “income.”
Bledsoe was hired by the credit union in February 2003, then was promoted to head teller, vault custodian, member services representative, customer service representative and loan processor.
