TUCSON, Ariz. - (06/05/06) DM FCU announced last week itis converting to a state charter that will encompass more than twomillion residents of southern Arizona in Pima, Pinal and part ofMaricopa counties. The $800 million credit union, which waschartered to serve employees at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, stillserves the base, as well as more than 1,800 select groups. DM FCUis the largest credit union in the area with almost 100,000members. Credit union officials are seeking a new name to reflectthe new market. Separately, Tucson FCU has received approval fromNCUA to convert to a community charter serving the one millionresidents of Pima County, which surrounds Tucson.
