Armed Assailants Sought In $100,000 CU Heist

SALINAS, Calif. – Authorities are hunting for four heavily armed men who robbed the Central Coast CU branch here of $100,000 shortly before 10 am this morning, then made their getaway in a stolen car.

The robbers, described as men in their 30s all dressed in black, stuffed the money into a leather duffle bag and escaped in a stolen gold-colored Volvo, according to police.

Salinas police officers and a couple of EMTs and firefighters are at the branch and treating a woman who may have been injured.
