Armed Hold-Up Draws Long PrisonTerm

ROCKFORD, Ill. - (05/23/05) -- A 29-year-old local man wassentenced to 24 years in jail Friday for last April's armed robberyat ABD FCU. Andy Carter admitted to police that the walked into thecredit union, approached the teller counter and said to the teller,"You know what time it is." He then jumped over the counter andgrabbed the teller by the neck, then took money from the cashdrawer and the vault while holding the teller atgunpoint.
