DALEVILLE, Ala. Army Aviation Center FCU announced the death of Roger Turnquist, a volunteer at the credit union the last 35 years until his passing at 99.
Turnquist had a long career of service spanning over 35 years with the $1-billion credit union and was an active member of the board at his passing. He served 21 years on the board, beginning in 1978 with Mobile Security FCU before it merged into Army Aviation Center FCU. After the merger Turnquist joined AACFCU’s supervisory committee. He acted as the liaison between Little Flower FCU and AACFCU, resulting in a merger in April 2005.
He also worked with the CUNA Volunteer Achievement Program and attended various credit union conferences and seminars spanning his 35 years of volunteering.
