CUProdigy has named Bret Weekes as its new president and CEO.

Bret Weekes is new CEO of CUProdigy

Prior to joining CUProdigy, Weekes spent more than 20 years at eDOC Innovations, a Middlebury, Vt.-based CUSO that provides digital transaction management and related technology, including serving as president and CEO.

“Bret is an excellent choice to lead our CUSO,” CUProdigy Chairman Jack Creager said in a statement. “He is experienced in CUSO innovation and is passionate about creating collaborative environments that delivers the most value to CUProdigy client credit unions and our CUSO owners. He has experience in leadership in core processing and has extensive credit union operations experience.”

According to his Linkedin page, Weekes has an MBA from the University of Liverpool in England.

“I look forward to working with CUProdigy’s excellent team to move forward and build upon these foundations to create value for credit unions and further garner market trust,” Weekes stated.

In a statement emailed to Credit Union Journal, Creager did not provide an explanation for Montgomery's departure but credited him with "leading CUProdigy through a transformative technology investment. He was a tireless advocate of the CUSO structure and the need to provide credit unions with affordable, best-of-class core and cloud services. We wish him well in his future endeavors."
