TULLAHOMA, Tenn. – Ascend FCU said it has deployed Zix Corp.’s new data loss prevention system email encryption for protecting member data and safeguarding intellectual property.
The system combines Zix’s email encryption with Code Green Networks’ data loss prevention solution. By combining DLP with email encryption, business exchanges of sensitive information can continue while preventing loss or inappropriate access.
Based on an organization’s needs, Code Green Networks and ZixCorp offer two different tightly integrated solutions for delivering DLP-based email encryption. With both integrated solutions, a Code Green Content Inspection (CI) Appliance is deployed at the organization’s Internet gateway to inspect all network traffic and enforce policy based encryption on outgoing email.
The CI-Appliance can either be paired with a ZixCorp email encryption appliance also located at the customer site, or it can be integrated with ZixCorp’s Email Encryption Service. With both integrations, the connection between the Code Green CI-Appliance and the ZixCorp network is over a secure channel encrypted with Transport Layer Security, ensuring secure communication from the point the email leaves the customer network.
