ASI FCU Opens Bilingual Branch In New Orleans’ Latino Community

NEW ORLEANS – ASI FCU on Monday launched its newest branch, to serve the mid-city’s Hispanic low-income community.

The new branch will be bilingual and will also help create a system to help Hispanic workers fill out taxpayer intake forms, which will provide them with a tax I.D. number and place them a step closer to citizenship.

The $270 million community development credit union operates a similar branch in East New Orleans, where most of the employees speak Vietnamese.
